From June 4, 2010 to July 3, 2010, I will be traveling to India to volunteer with Child Family Health International. They are a non-profit group that provides learning opportunities for medical and dental professionals in various parts of the world. The program I will be attending, entitled "Patients with Communicable Diseases" will allow me to give back to many communities in and around Mumbai to serve an ever-increasing population of patients needing care.
As this is a volunteer program, I am responsible for all fees and travel expenses and am asking for your assistance in this endeavor. Even a small amount can make a huge difference. Please consider donating to support this wonderful organization.
Donations will go toward the program fee of $2195 which mainly provides the community the financial means to provide care and maintain participants. Over 50% of the fee goes to the following: a local site coordinator in Mumbai, home stay families providing food and lodging to program participants, local clinics (for medical supplies), and local medical staff overseeing program participants.
